Specs and Features of the Hynes Eagle Backpack
At 20.1″ H x 13.4″ W x 9.8″ D and 44 liters, this bag is not small, which makes it perfect for longer business trips. In fact, you can probably pack everything you need for a week away from the office. However, if necessary, you can quickly reduce this to a smaller bag using the compression zipper and straps. Doing so shaves 2″ off the depth and reduces the capacity to 38L. That’s ideal for really tight spaces.
As for durability, we’ve found the overall construction to be solid with quality stitching and sturdy materials. The top-notch zippers can be secured with a TSA approved lock. The shoulder straps are wide, quite comfortable, and come with convenient, quick-release lobster clasps. It has sternum and waist straps to help stabilize heavy loads.
The laptop compartment is spacious enough to comfortably hold a 17.3-inch laptop. You also get a built-in USB charging port to charge all your electronic devices on the go. There are multiple interior slip pockets as well and one mesh pocket for carrying things that will make your life as a busy executive easier.
Carry it on your back, and you won’t have to deal with rolling a bag through a crowded airport. It’s also flexible enough to fit into the overhead compartment of virtually any airplane. The durability completely impressed us. And, we are convinced that this pack will survive many years of abuse.

The Cons
Some customers report the water bottle pockets aren’t as secure as they might like. However, we were able to mitigate this with a simple carabiner clipped to the bottle ring and the top-side strap of the pack.
The Bottom Line
If you are a traveling executive, this bag absolutely can’t be beat for the price. It is so user friendly and versatile, and has a clean, professional appearance. You simply can’t go wrong with the Hynes Eagle 44L and that’s why we made it our top pick for the best business travel backpack for executives.
